COMMUNITY IMPACT

Our Mission

The mission of Waxahachie Junior Service League is to foster interest among its members in the social, economic, educational, cultural, and civic conditions of Ellis County. Our goal is to provide volunteer services and donate funds to strengthen and improve these conditions in our community.

WJSL gives to numerous nonprofits in Ellis County that benefit women and children. Giving is done through monthly donations as well as each member serving 50+ hours each year at one of our nonprofits.

Every year, WJSL awards scholarships to Ellis County high school senior applicants. 


The WJSL Community Service Scholarship is a one-time $1,500 scholarship awarded to an Ellis County senior based on their commitment to community service.


LONG-TERM PROJECTS

Every 3 years, Waxahachie Junior Service League accepts applications for and selects one organization from those applications for a $5,000 per year donation totaling $15,000 for 3 years. Some past recipients of this award are Gingerbread House of Ellis County, Campfire Creek and Hidden Miracles.
